Angie was born in Scarborough the 5th Daughter and the 8th child from the family of 12 of Mr & Mrs Robert Arthur Cammish and Pauline Bestwick. Raised and brought up in Scarborough where she met her artist husband James Kennedy Wood known as Ken. They have two daughters Dawn and Siobhain.
Angie with her husband Ken starting out in the Catering Industry having acquired a love of cooking and hosting party’s. Then spending many years (30) as independent gift and antiques retailers owning various gift and antique shops in Whitby and Scarborough, with the advent of the world wide web this led to a whole new way of trading, which has led to an extended love and knowledge of antiques and collectables. After travelling extensively in India and on looking for something to give life a fuller meaning Angie came across the Art of T'ai Chi Ch’uan and after passing her Teaching Training in the Lee Style of Tai Chi in 2002, began teaching weekly classes at the Tai Chi Workshops in Scarborough UK and has founded the web site www.Taichiworkshops.co.uk.
Then in the advent of Covid-19 set up Zoom online daily classes to keep her and her students focused on keeping fit, strong, healthy and wealthy in body-mind and spirit, and set up online courses www.etaichi.co.uk for others to do the same. Angie and her husband spend many hours exploring antique and boot fairs around the UK looking for old and interesting items to sell on her web site www.angiescollections.co.uk, updating her online courses at www.etaichi.co.uk and doing Zoom online classes and a weekly outdoor class.
