Achievements for 2023

We started 

January 2023

after the Christmas break going over what we had learned previously, the Tai Chi Silk form, the Tai Chi Flying Hands Dance form, and the full open hands Tai Chi form. Introduced the importance of a daily warm up in the morning of rolling the shoulders and elbows.

Introduction of the Tai Chi Sword Form paying attention to the hand positions and noticing how the hands convey meaning in them and move energy around the body internally (chi energy) and externally (Li energy).

About Angie Wood

Angie Wood was born in Scarborough in 1954 the 5th Daughter and the 8th child from the family of 12 of Mr & Mrs Robert Arthur Cammish and Pauline Bestwick. Raised and brought up in Scarborough where she met her artist Husband James Kennedy Wood known as Ken. They have two daughters Dawn and Siobhain. The Early Years Angie with her husband Ken starting out in the Catering Industry having acquired a love of cooking and hosting party’s. Then spending many years (30) as Independent gift and antiques retailers owning various gift and antique shops in Whitby and Scarborough, with the advent of the world wide web this lead to a whole new way of trading, which has led to an extended love and knowledge of antiques and collectables. Later Years On looking for something to give life a fuller meaning Angie came across the Art of T'ai Chi Ch’uan and after passing her Teaching Training in the Lee Style of Tai Chi in 2002 teaching weekly classes at the Tai Chi Workshops in Scarborough UK and has founded the web site www.taichiworkshops.co.uk, now with the pandemic and its social distancing Angie has set up doing Zoom online classes for her regular students and complete beginners courses in the Lee Style T'ai Chi at www.etaichi.co.uk Angie spends many hours exploring antique and boot fairs around the UK looking for old and interesting items to sell on the web site www.angiescollections and I hope you find something interesting to purchase in the many varied categories. Now While continuing to study and teach the Art of T’ai Chi keeping an open mind to all the various other health and wellbeing aspects like mindfulness and meditation, for ways on how to make her life and maybe others fit, strong, healthy, and wealthy in body, mind and spirit.
